On Tuesday, October 21, the body of Edward Too was discovered in River Itare a few days after he was reported missing by his wife, Sarah Too.
When did Edward Too disappear?
“Preliminary reports indicate that the deceased went missing on Saturday, 18/10/2025, and a missing person’s report was filed at Konoin Police Station via OB07/20/10/2025 by his wife, Sarah Too,” the Police report reads as reported by K24 TV.

Sadly, the body of Too, who is a teacher and Deputy Principal of Kapkilaibei Secondary School in Kimlot Ward, was found floating in the river near the bridge.
“At 12:38 p.m., it was reported by the local chief of Koiwa, who is Emily Koech, that there was a dead body floating in the Itare River near the bridge of M/R YQ 306278, about 8 kilometers East of the station,” the police report said.
Detectives from the Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI) have launched an investigation into the incident.
What did the Bomet teachers say about the death of Edward Too?
Detectives visited the scene and took photographic evidence, while the initial examination showed the body had no visible injuries.
The body was transferred to the Kapkatet Sub-County Hospital mortuary for safekeeping, pending an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Speaking to journalists, the Gender Secretary of Bomet KUPPET Norah Cherukwen said Too’s death is a big blow to Bomet County trainers.
Cherukwen also remembered him as a dedicated, humble, and selfless teacher whose commitment to education and mentoring greatly impacted his students and colleagues.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Too. He was a dedicated teacher and a source of inspiration to many in the education fraternity. His kindness, professionalism, and passion for his work will be greatly missed,” Cherukwen said.

How a Bomet JSS teacher died
In a similar case, residents of Kabisimba area in Chepalungu, Bomet county were left shocked following the death of a 38-year-old Junior Secondary School (JSS) teacher who had just been employed in the county. Nakuru.
