Speaking in his native language at the funeral ceremony in his county on Tuesday, October 21, the county boss indicated that the death of the former prime minister was a situation answered for the Mt Kenya area.

In its joint statement, the opposition denied involvement with Kahiga’s ideas, after some people claimed that the governor was speaking on behalf of some members of the opposition camp.

Why Mutahi Kahiga resigned CoG
Meanwhile, the governor of Nyeri resigned from his post as deputy chairman of the CoG.
He said he was responsible for the backlash from Kenyans following his remarks.
But even after his resignation, the CoG under the chairmanship of Governor Ahmed Abdullahi of Wajir county, decided to expel him from his post.
Kahiga was elected to the post earlier this month. His position will be chosen at the appropriate time as announced by the council.
