“They were babies. We didn’t intend to have children this early. When I found out I was pregnant, I told my boyfriend, who I’ve been with for three years now. Even though it was an unplanned and unexpected pregnancy, we decided to keep it.

I went through all the prenatal clinic tests to make sure the pregnancy was normal. When I was five months pregnant, I went for a test and that’s when I realized that I wasn’t expecting one baby but two. I was really excited. I told my boyfriend, and he was also happy that we were twins,” he narrated.

Diana informed her parents that she was pregnant at the age of 24

It took some time before 24-year-old Diana broke the news to her parents BondoSiaya county.

The reception was as he expected, bitter reactions from his father and mother, who finally accepted the situation.

“Of course they weren’t right, but there was little they could do about it. My boyfriend’s parents were okay with that. She naturally gave birth to two bundles of joy during the evening.

“My boyfriend accompanied me to the hospital because he was the only one who was close to me. When I gave birth, when I followed the news, I realized that Raila was no longer there. It made me sad and shocked.

Since we did not have names for our children, we decided to call them Raila Odinga and Ida Odinga and I do not regret it. In fact, all the women who gave birth that day named their sons Raila and their daughters Railynn. At least eight children were born that day. ‘Father’ lives forever,” he said.

Diana opens up about procrastinating

The second year student says they are happy with the names, as they were supporters of Raila, who will miss him a lot.

Currently, Diana has had to postpone her studies to take care of the newborns, who are her first children.

“I really can’t leave the young people alone. I have to take care of them for a while before I go back to school. They don’t bother me much. As long as they are well fed, they remain peaceful,” he said.
