Elizabeth had traveled to Kenya to mourn the death of the former prime minister of Kenya, Raila Odinga.
How Elizabeth Tsvangirai mourned Raila
He attended Raila’s national funeral there Bondo on Sunday, October 19, and attracted many with her beauty and elegant white dress with hood and black scarf.
Elizabeth comforted Mother Ida Odinga during the funeral, a sign that the two have a close relationship.
It should also be noted that her late husband was a close friend of Raila.
At the funeral, Elizabeth sat next to the Speaker of the Senate Amason Kingi and the Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetang’ula.
Did Elizabeth Tsvangirai visit parliament?
Two days after the funeral, Elizabeth visited the parliament and was welcomed by Wetang’ula.
Through social media, he shared photos of that time and thanked the Speaker for his honorable invitation.
He also explained that he signed the guest book as a memorial to Raila, whom he praised as a true patriot.
He said:
“Mr. Dr. M. Wetang’ula, thank you for inviting me to parliament today. I felt honored to sign the guest book in memory of Father Raila Odinga, a true patriot and servant of the people. His legacy of courage, justice and unity will continue to inspire future generations.”

Elizabeth Tsvangirai pays tribute to her husband in Kenya
Elizabeth also paid tribute to her late husband, Morgan Tsvangirai, and the people of Zimbabwe during the visit.
He thanked Wetang’ula and Kenyans for their hospitality and loving reception.
He said:
“During my visit, I was reminded that true strength lies in love, service and patience. By honoring me today, you have also honored my late husband, Dr. Morgan R. Tsvangirai, and the people of Zimbabwe. Thank you Kenya for the loving welcome. May God comfort you.”
Wetang’ula also posted a message online about the visit and supported his words.
What did he say about Raila Odinga?
A day after Raila’s funeral, Monday, October 20, Elizabeth uploaded photos of the funeral along with an old photo she took with her late husband and Odinga’s family.
In the picture, Elizabeth was standing next to Raila, while her husband was on the other side.
Ida and Elizabeth wore matching outfits, standing next to Tsvangirai. All four smiled happily towards the camera.
In her touching message to Raila, Elizabeth wrote:
“I had the honor of witnessing the funeral of a hero, a true patriot, and a servant of the people yesterday. The ability to stand with my dear sister, Mama Ida Odinga, during this sad event, made me very grateful.”
