The late former Prime Minister, Raila Odingahe is finally buried in his family cemetery in Bondo, Siaya county.

Raila was buried on Sunday, October 19, in a private ceremony attended by close family, leaders, and distinguished guests.
This followed a public service held in his honor at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology.
Despite the somber atmosphere during the event on campus, families and mourners shared a little joy, with some speakers making the crowd laugh.
How did Ruth Odinga introduce her Ghanaian husband?
One of those who made people laugh and cheer was the Kisumu Women’s Representative, Ruth Odingawho is also Raila’s younger sister.
During her turn to pay tribute to her brother, she appeared on stage with her husband, Nana Busia, and their two sons.
Ruth explained that many did not know that she had a husband, and she used the opportunity to introduce her Ghanaian husband, jokingly adding that she knows how to choose a good partner.
“Many of you here did not know that I have a right hand. My right hand is here. I am also married, I am married to a man from Ghana. I want to greet you, and it was Raila who introduced me to him,” she said in a joking tone as she allowed her husband to greet the mourners who cheered him happily.
Nana’s rare public appearance surprised many, and her presence captivated those in attendance.

Nana arrived at her sister-in-law’s funeral dressed in traditional Ghanaian funeral attire, which set her apart from the rest.

The red garment, known as Kobene, is a traditional burial garment worn by the family of the deceased in the Akan and Ashanti cultures of Ghana.
Nana did not wear a shirt or t-shirt underneath, but wore shorts and black sandals.
