Gor Mahia football club has honored him Raila Odinga with a touching message following the shocking news of his passing.

Raila died on Wednesday morning in India, where he had been receiving treatment for the past several days.
How did Raila Odinga die?
According to Indian outlets, Raila collapsed during a morning walk on Wednesday at 8:30 am, inside the Ayurvedic center premises.
It was reported that CPR was administered by the on-site medical team. He was rushed to Devamatha Hospital in Koothattukulam, where he was pronounced dead at around 9.52 am Indian time.
Gor Mahia mourns following Raila’s death
In addition to his busy political life, Raila was once the guardian of Gor Mahia and he oversaw one of the club’s greatest eras.
“Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of our beloved guardian, Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga. He was a light of guidance and great support for our club. We send our condolences to his family and loved ones. May he rest in peace,” said Gor Mahia in a statement.
Gor Mahia’s fan group, Ultras Green, added,
“Our hearts are heavy as we join the nation in mourning the passing of our beloved Patron of the Club, Rt. Hon. Raila Amollo Odinga. A true leader, supporter, and pillar of our football community. His legacy and love for the game will last forever.”

The Football Association of Kenya said,

Kenyan rugby mourns Raila Odinga
The Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) said,
“The Rugby Union joins the nation in mourning the death of Former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga. We send our condolences to his family, friends and all Kenyans at this difficult time. His contribution to building a united and progressive Kenya remains an inspiration to all of us.
As a rugby community, we honor his legacy of leadership and nation-building, values that continue to guide our game on and off the field.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.”
Jalang’o cried for Raila Odinga
The Member of Parliament for Lang’ata Phelix Odiwuor, popularly known as Jalang’o, has given condolences following the death of Raila Odinga.
Jalang’o shared a dark post online accompanied by Coster Ojwang’s song, Jowi.
