The coffin of the political veteran had the country’s emblem, with two lions symbolizing protection, holding two spears and a traditional East African shield.

Orange is the color of the Orange Democratic Movement, founded in 2005.
On top of the brown coffin was Raila’s signature hat, which he often wore during public appearances and political rallies.
