Nairobi—Security has been strengthened at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) before the body of Raila Odinga to arrive.

On Thursday, October 16, the Kenya Defense Forces launched an operation at JKIA ahead of the arrival of the former prime minister’s body.
How is JKIA security?
The officers were also in charge of Parliament, where the body was to be taken to the public on Thursday afternoon.
In a video seen by TUKO.co.ke Military vehicles that will be part of the procession that will carry the body of the late prime minister to Lee Funeral Home are being prepared.
Information from the airline Kenya Airways indicated that the plane carrying Raila’s coffin is expected to land at JKIA at 9.30 am.
“KQ203 will change to RAO001 as soon as we arrive at Kenya Airspace around 8:50 am to honor and respect our departed leader. ETA at JKIA is 09:30 am,” Kenya Airways said.
Despite the tight security, thousands of Kenyans started heading to the airport to receive Raila’s body.
