Why did Raila Odinga receive the honor of being sprinkled with water?

This honor is usually given when a new aircraft takes off for the first time, when a pilot retires on his last flight, or when a soldier’s body is brought home.

Raila was given the honor due to his status as a national leader and his great service to Kenya.

He was also praised as a fighter for the African Union (Pan-Africanist) who loved this continent and had a vision to improve it.
