The body of the former prime minister Raila Odinga arrived in the country from India, where he had traveled for treatment before his death.
Raila’s staunch supporters gathered at JKIA to meet his body, while others stormed Parliament, where it was originally planned to be taken before the location was changed.
Member of Parliament for Embakasi East Grandpa Owino and Westlands Member of Parliament Tim Wanyonyi arrived in the area with the intention of calming the crowd that had gathered in the buildings.
Babu went so far as to climb the walls of Parliament to calm the youths who had gathered to view Raila’s body.
The influential member of parliament was seen giving signals to young people to calm down and not cause chaos in the buildings.
The crowd was also caught sitting on the walls of the Parliament while watching intently as they waited for Raila’s body.
