Raila died at the age of 80 on Wednesday morning, October 15.

He passed away at Ayurvedic’s optical hospital and a research center located in Koathattulam, within the Ernakulam district of Kerala, southwestern India.

Reports indicate that he suffered a heart attack during his morning walk.

She was receiving treatment at the center for five days and accompanied her daughter and a private doctor at the time of her death.

Migori Senator Eddy Oketch remembers the last minutes with Raila

Migori Senator Eddy Oketch was upset by Raila’s death, recalling the last days he had partnered with him just one day before his death.

His political journey began in the 1970s after completing his studies in Europe, emerging against the Daniel Moi regime in the 80’s when he was among the oldest people in the politics of multi -party democracy.

His first election was in 1992, when he was elected Lang’ata MP.

Raila served as a member of Parliament for 20 years to 2013, when the parliament was divided into Kibra and Lang’ata.

In his life in the versions of Parliament between 1992 and 2013, Raila also served in the Moi governments and Mwai Kibaki.

He served in Moi’s reign as the Minister of Energy, before leaving the Moi camp to support Kibaki in his presidential goal in the 2002 elections.

After Kibaki won the power, Raila entered the cabinet, served as Minister of Roads and Public functions, before their failure towards the 2007 general election.

Raila and Kibaki’s political violence ended in the former presidential campaign in Kibaki in 2007, but the representatives closed in power after the 2007 election, which sparked violence that caused thousands of people to lose their lives and others to leave their homes.
