Raila Odinga: AUC chairman mourns the death of former prime minister

The current chairman of the African Union Commission (AUC), Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, has joined international leaders to mourn the death of former Kenyan Prime Minister, Raila Odinga.

Mahmoud, who clashed with Raila in the AUC chairmanship, referred to the late African continental leader.

Did Mahmoud congratulate Raila?

Mahmoud used social networks to give his condolences to the family of his former political opponent in the AUC race.

He gave emotional congratulations to Raila, calling him a celebrity in the political sphere of Kenya and a strong democratic champion.

“He encouraged generations of leaders, including me, and the people for his courage, courage, and unstable faith in the power of dialogue with democratic institutions,” It said Mahmoud’s statement.

Mahmoud cited where Raila served as the Chief Representative of the African Union for infrastructure development in Africa.

He praised Raila’s efforts, focusing on his tireless work to develop a compatibility and connection agenda of the continent, which helped lay the foundation for the free African trade region (AFCFTA).
