Siaya County- Veteran politician and ODM Raila Odinga He is dead. He passed away while undergoing treatment in India.
Earlier, several Indian media confirmed that he died while walking around the center where he was being treated.
His parent’s brother, Oburu Odinga, told them recently that Raila was undergoing treatment and promised that he would return home after resting.
However, following his death, Kenyans and officials from different parts of the world have paid respect and sent heartfelt condolences.
There BondoCitizens stopped all activities and flooded the streets to mourn the dead leader.
They carried leafy stems on the street while sharing their pain and sadness of losing the strong political leader.
“My name is Paul Otieno from Bondo, it is a great sadness that our father Raila is dead. He was sick and they did not tell us to what extent. Said one of the citizens.
From the videos, women seemed to sink into sadness, raising their hands over their heads while mourning Gholuo.
“Raila’s death has finished the nation of Luo. We are very sick and the government should see how we will live as Luo,” Said one of the citizens.
Another woman, who was crying, shared how Raila’s death disbanded her heart and memories she had.
“My name is Jeniffer Atieno, I’ve got a great deal of shock, he was a gentleman, he was a father, and we will miss you so much. This death has hurt me. Mayoo Raila, why did you do this to me?” He said.
