According to an East African report, the head of state addressed the nation on Facebook at the end of Monday, October 13, saying that he had moved after receiving a warning of an approaching attack.

He did not disclose his whereabouts but emphasized that his intention is to make sure that Madagaska does not fall into chaos.

The president is said to have left the country after the army announced it supported Gen Z.
