When a missing high school student is found dead, the body has been thrown into the river

A high school student, Gaea Chisenga, was reportedly lost on Monday, October 6, and found dead a week later.

How was Chisenga lost?

Chisenga had left home for Kabale High School, where he was a 2 -year student, but had never been to school or returned home.

His father, Emmanuel Chisenga, from Mpika district in Zambia, reported his disappearance the following day, Tuesday, October 7.

This was after the 38 -year -old man confirmed the school that his son did not attend classes that day.

Families and police launched a search for her, making advertisements on social networks and local radio, but all efforts were unsuccessful.

Who found the body of a lost student?

However, reports of his disappearance spread and raised public awareness, which led to a major move after one citizen saw the body slipping into the Lwitikila River.

The man phoned his father Chisenga, who quickly traveled to the scene and sadly to prove that the body was his son.

Police were called to the scene near the Malambwa bridge along the Mpika Road – Kasama on Friday morning, October 10.

The officers, assisting with the Mpika City Council Fire unit, released the body from the water and launched a full investigation to identify the cause of death and his involvement.

Authorities said they would deal with the case as suspected killings, noting that preliminary investigations showed signs of evil.

What happened to Chisenga?

The 16 -year -old’s face was swollen, he had a burn on his back, and both his hands were tied to the eagle.

In addition, he was found barefoot, with his blue school shirt with small fire holes suspected of cigarette, and his shoes were thrown along the river.

His body was taken to the Urban Clinic mortuary pending a medical examination to identify the exact cause of his death.

Muchinga Regional Police Commissioner, Denise Moola, told Chete Fm News that no one had been arrested so far.

He promised that they would try their best to find those involved in the brutal death of the boy.

“We urge citizens with any information related to this case to appear. Any evidence, even the least, can be important in bringing the perpetrators before the law,” Said Commissioner Moola.
