Oscar Agola Ojiambo, a former Kenyan Defense Force (KDF), left home in May this year for Russia after being allegedly employed by people believed to be affiliated with the Russian army.
Five months later, the family could not communicate with him, and their concerns for his safety continue to grow.
The Oscar family stated that he had expressed his intention to travel to the war -torn country in search of a better life after a local agent went to him and what seemed to be a huge profit.

“He told me he got a job in Russia and was preparing important travel documents,” the sad Oscar’s father, Charles Mutoka said.
Mutoka explained that Oscar sent even a picture of his colleagues in military clothing.
Oscar’s sister, Mary Owayo, narrated their last conversation, expressing her concern that her brother had been registered in a dispute Ukraine and Russia.
“The last time he phoned, he said he was waiting to be sent to the front. The agent told us that some soldiers fled to the bushes, others surrendered orders to Ukrainian troops, and others died,” a tear -in -law remembered.
The frustrated woman added that what they want as a family is closed, to know what happened to their beloved brother.
Oscar’s father revealed that he has a wife and children who remain in the village, wondering how it has been for her, and struggling to pay for school children.
