Burundi vs Kenya: Ryan Ogam lifts Harambee Stars to qualify for the World Cup qualifier

Ogam came in from the bench and scored the only goal in a game against Burundi at Intwari Stadium in Bujumbura.

The locals played most of the game with 10 people but had a difficult result in discouraging Benni McCarthy’s youngsters.

McCarthy started Austine Odhiambo who was called back while Brian Bwire started the goal. Captain Michael Olunga He recovered from the fact that he was fit to lead the column.

Harambee Stars goalkeeper was injured against Burundi

With the first goal to defend, McCarthy released Olunga and Wilson and brought the fastest winger Boniface Muchiri and goalkeeper Marvin Nabwire.

Bryne Omondi scored the first goal in the safe minutes and deprived Burundi of the locals wanting to equalize the minutes of a safe night.

The win puts Kenya to 12 points and third place in the group behind Group Ivory Coast and Gabon. They will play Ivory Coast next week in their last match.
