Social networks and political circles have been overwhelmed by allegations that the veteran leader of the opposition is wrong with some claiming to have traveled for treatment.
However, these rumors have now been severely ignored by his family and party officials, who insist that Raila is in good health and is only timely to rest.
What did Ida Odinga say about Raila’s health?
Ida addressed the public directly, giving a genuine explanation to calm the anxiety that had grown.
“In the last week, people have been disturbed by rumors claiming Raila is sick,” He said. “If his condition were as bad as they said, I would take him to the hospital here in Migori for treatment.

His statement came up with misconceptions, which Raila’s spokesman Dennis Onyango referred to as a political scandal.
He condemned the alliance of political giants – including the former deputy president Rigathi GachaguaWiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, and Dap-K boss Eugene Wamalwa-by preparing the rumors through AI-produced photos and converted content.
He emphasized that Raila’s absence in public was due to one of his regular international trips, not a disease or hospitalization.

According to ODM Communications Director Philip Etale, Raila personally phoned him to submit his greetings to Kenyans and expressed his surprise at the false reports.
Etale said that Raila was funny and happy and asked him to tell Kenyans to pray for propaganda.

Etale made the comment one day after distributing a photo of Raila sitting at a hospital reportedly in Dubai.

Meanwhile, during a fundraising ceremony in Rang’ala, South Suba MP Caroli Omondi called on Christians across the country to pray a special prayer so that the ODM leader could recover quickly.
While ODM leaders criticized opposition for allegedly using Raila’s name in political campaigns, Omondi emphasized the need for unity and spiritual support.
