Alice Jepkorir and Elder Johanna Butuuk were married in 2023, their wedding was on the internet as the bride was 38 and it was the first time the elder had left the celibacy.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, family member Sally Chepkoech revealed that Elder Johanna passed away a few days ago at the age of 101.
Sally said the elder did not suffer from any illness, as he died in sleep.
“Yes, our father is dead. We are planning to bury him on Tuesday. He was not sick. He just went to bed and never woke up,” Said Sally.
How old Butuuk found love at the age of 98
In 2023, we brought the unique wedding news of the elder and his wife Alice.
The interesting ceremony took place on January 14, 2023, in the Soy area, Uasin Gishu County, and was run by the Catholic church priests.
According to Sally Chepkoech, at that time the 98 -year -old Elder Butuuk had never been able to find her boyfriend in her old age.
“It was a great wedding and even led by the Catholic church priests who came to our house to run a wedding service,” Sally excitedly explained in 2023.
“He wasn’t married before, so when we got married we grandchildren and children of his brothers, he started asking who would look at him because we were all married and lived far away. Then we decided to find a wife to at least find someone to be with,He added.
