Senators block Boni Khalwale who is about to beat Cec of Kakamega Cec: “Don’t dare”

Anxiety raised Kakamega when Senator Boni Khalwale faced Benjamin Andama, a member of the Kakamega County Executive Committee.

The incident took place on Friday, October 3, during the Senate Committee on the resolution and governmental relations of the development projects stuck.

In a rapid video, the veteran politician talks to Andama while explaining how Kakamega’s residents died from lack of quality health care.

Khalwale promised the officer that he would make sure he was arrested and would face the law on his part in a stuck hospital project.

The promise prompted Andama to intervene, demanding that the legislator have a goal, and before he could finish the statement, Khalwale jumped in the face.

“I tell you the days of my life, and keep it right, we will arrest people to pay for the lives of the people who died since this hospital collapsed. I am very serious, Andama. Khalwale said.

His fellow senators came in and prevented Khalwale as he was heading towards CEC, and hit him in the chest.

Senator Catherine Mumma tried to separate the fight even Senator Mohamed Abass, chairman of the committee, intervened to save the situation.

“I won’t let that,” Abbas said while Senator Richard Onyonka prevented Khalwale from attacking the county officer.

The senator was removed as he continued to express his frustration by governor Fernandes Barasa.

He claimed that many projects were left under Barasa as the county had not paid their contractors.

“Listen, Chairman, Chairman, we are in the 24/25 financial year, these fools have not even paid for one contractor. How can such a fool address me,” Khalwale said.

The delegation inspected Shamakhubu Level 4 Hospital in Shinyalu, Kakamega Referral Hospital in Lurambi, Butali -Chegulo Road, and Bukhungu Stadium which has long been delayed.

What is Khalwale’s promise to Kakamega?

In a statement on social networks following the incident, Khalwale vowed to take over the Kakamega County government.

The MP said that Kakamega residents deserve accountability and transparency, adding that he would ensure the projects were completed.

“It is sad to see the level of misappropriation and misuse of taxpayers’ money on projects that are already to serve our people. As a Kakamega Senator, I promise to put Governor Fernandes Barasa and the county government to be responsible until these projects are completed and submitted to the public,” Khalwale promised.
