Is Gachagua on the presidency?

Gachagua is one of the presidential candidates in the opposition coalition.

In addition to him, Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka, People Liberation Party leader Martha Karua and former interior minister Fred Matiang’i are all vying for the presidency.

The opposition has not yet chosen the flag holder. However, Gachagua has confirmed that the opposition leaders will meet soon to discuss who will oppose Ruto.

On several occasions, Gachagua explained that he believed he was the best person, claiming what he needed to make Ruto a one -term ruler.

The cracks manifest themselves in opposition

Despite the opposition struggling to present a joint position, cracks have begun to appear and raise questions if they will stay together until the next election.

While many presidential candidates are in the same position, they have not yet resolved one nominee, thus raising concerns if any of them are ready to relinquish his ambitions and support one candidate.

In addition, Matiang’i seems to be separated from the opposition of the Union. His absence was heard especially during the recent visit to Kajiado. On the other hand, he was holding a meeting with General Zs Nakuru.

The absence of Matiang’i was further attributed to the threat posed by former President Uhuru Kenyatta of the Jubilee Party, which opposes Gachagua’s democracy for the Citizens’ Party in the Kenyan Mountain of Mount Kenya.

Kajiado’s visit had to support the opposition in uniting the votes before the expected elections.

Kalonzo could not hide his happiness when he spoke to people from Kajiado, referring to the opposition coalition as a pending government.

He even shared pictures of the opposition leaders present, including Gachagua, Eugene Wamalwaand former Public Service Minister Justin Muturi.
