Speaking during the National Jubilee Members’ Conference on Friday, September 26, Uhuru reached the reign of Ruto about what he mentioned to be “unresolved and unarmed attempts” which was hurting the masses.
Did Independence leave behind a deteriorating economy?
In response, Mwala MP and Secretary -General of UDA National, Vincent Kayaya dismissed allegations of independence, accusing him of leaving behind a stagnant economy.
“Uhuru Kenyatta should retire with respect and stop lectured the riots he left behind. He fled across the country, and President Ruto works for overtime,” Kawaya said during a bodaboda event in Kitui town.
He also targeted the Nairobi Expressway Road, calling it a exploitation project that benefits independence partners at the expense of Kenyans.
Will William Ruto be re -elected?
Kayaya said President Ruto is in the process of being “unchallenged” in 2027, saying that his administration is investing in long -term plans that will bring benefits to citizens.
He defended the government’s plans for local empowerment, which has been criticized by the opposition, and challenged opponents to propose possible alternatives rather than to seek mistakes.
South Kitui MP Rachael Nyamai supported Kawaya’s views, congratulating the construction of cheap housing as the reform program that previous governments avoided.
“Some leaders were afraid to implement difficult national projects as cheap housing, but this government has shown confidence. Benefits in terms of human life and economic empowerment are great,” Nyamai said.
Uhuru remembers warning Kenyans against choosing Ruto
During the Jubilee NDC party, Uhuru also took the opportunity to call Kenyans for not listening to his warning.
Uhuru had called on Kenyans not to vote for the Kenyan Union first, but they elected it to be in power.

He said that Kenyans suffer from failing to obey his advice. Independence argued that his advice was based on experience, but those he was looking at chose to ignore him.
He claimed that the policies implemented by the current administration are inappropriate compared to the ones he left.
Independence led the country for 10 years, was elected for the first time in 2013 and re -elected 2022.
In both cases when he was running for the presidency, Ruto served as his running mate. However, a break between the two political giants began to appear as Independence approached the end of his second term.
