Murang’a – Investigations have intensified their investigation into the murder of a woman whose body was brought to Kangari police station hidden as a package by a taxi driver.

On Thursday, September 25, shocked relatives named the victim Hannah Wanjiku, a 53 -year -old mother.

Why was Hannah Wanjiku’s husband arrested?

Intelligence officers in the Murang’a area have arrested four people, including the victim’s husband, two sons and a taxi driver.

Confirming the arrest of the man, Kigumo County Police Commander Hassan Bashir said four suspects are assisting in the investigation.

According to Bashir, police are trying to determine if the taxi driver was employed by a husband or sons to send the ‘package’.

“A post -corpse examination will shed light on how the woman died, while a professional examination will help identify anyone who can touch the burden.

The taxi driver, who is in detention, will also help us to find out if one of his two sons or sons signed to send the package, “ Bashir said, as reported by the Nation.

Has Hannah Wanjiku faced sexual harassment?

It has now emerged that Wanjiku suffered sexual abuse, thus forcing him to flee his home.

According to her sister, Mary Kiiru, the deceased had three children out of wedlock, whom she left under the care of her parents before getting married.

“The late my sister had three children out of wedlock, whom he left under the care of our parents in the village of Kamubabi before getting married in Main,” Kiiru said.

With her current husband, Wanjiku had three children, but domestic disputes had to move and rent a house in Njiiris village, where it was suspected of being killed.

“He later had three other children, now 22, 20 and 19 years old. In the last three months, he left his wedding home in Main and rented a house in Njiiris village, where he worked as a regular worker on tea plantations.

“We received a report on Tuesday that he had been killed and uploaded as a package in transportation,” He said.

How Murang’a’s taxi driver sent a woman’s body to the police station

As previously reported, a taxi driver claimed he was transporting passengers from Makamboki station to Kangari suburb when he was stopped by a man wearing a black hat and jeans pants.

The man paid KSh 500 cash to send a package to the Kangari platform for a person heading to Nairobi.

However, when he got to the point where they agreed, there was no one to receive the package.
