The Kenyan star was one of the best performing artists in Tokyo, contributing two of the 11 Kenyan medals to the competition.
He won his fourth world title for the 1500m race and received a silver medal in the 5000 meter race for women, finishing behind his friend with a friend, Beatrice Chebet.

Kipyegon ruled again in the 1500 -meter race for women, grabbing his fourth world title with great differences.
While Ethiopian Gudaf Tsegay and Diribe Welteji were not in the race, Kipyegon’s victory seemed to be inevitable. Australian Jessica Hull made a strong attempt to defend but finished third, with Dorcus Ewoi taking second place.

Who won Kenya gold medals?
Kipyegon and Chebet received three of the seven Kenyan gold medals, while the second also won the 10,000 -meter crown for women.
Faith Cherotich surprised Winfred Yavi and won the 3000 -meter jump and water for women, with Wanyonyi winning in one of the closest 800 meters ever. He was the only male athlete to win gold to Kenya in Tokyo.
Peres Jepchirchir claimed victory in the women’s marathon, with Lilian Odira surprisinging Olympic champion Keely Hodgkinson and winning the women’s 800 -meter race.
Mary Moraa and Sarah Moraa finished out of the medal in the 800m race.
