The KSh 637 billion agreement of Adani would allow India’s Kikosci to run Jomo Kenyatta International Airport with Ketraco for 30 years.

According to the former Prime Minister, Adani was planning to make a lot of money to change the face of JKIA and Nairobi.

“When Adani came here and they wanted to renovate the airport, a lot of noise emerged in parliament for no reason. Raila told ODM MPs.

The opposition leader claimed some people were paid to humiliate Adani’s name because they were interested in JKIA’s contract.

“Now, such a program is being done in Kigali; they are building an international Kigali airport, something similar to what Adani wanted to do in Kenya. Kigali will be a center center, not in Nairobi, because of the noise created by other sides, which were also interested in doing what Adani had to do and pay people secretly to make noise in the newspapers, shame to them!” The former prime minister said.

In related information, the government of Kenya first It showed a plan to build a new airport instead of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

At a public -private partnership meeting (PPP) Nairobi on Monday, the Secretary of the Ministry of Transport, Davis Chirchir, said the move aims to address the long -standing infrastructure challenges and strengthen Kenya’s position as a regional air center.

Chirchir noted that the project would be run through the PPP, despite preliminary challenges, including the cancellation of Adani’s contract to improve JKIA in November last year.

The shipping secretary said the new device would help make Kenya a priority gate for travelers.

He urged Kenyans to support the government’s efforts to build a modern airline.
