Mary Moraa’s defending her 800 -meter title is on the verge of winning the 800 -meter final for women in the 2025 World Championship.

The Kenyan star won the first semi-finals ahead of England Georgia Hunter-Bell, using 1: 58.40. Hunter-Bell spent 1: 58.62, and got his place in the finals as well.
Moraa has had a tough season but has looked good in Tokyo. Another Kenyan, Lilian Odira, won the second half, spending 1: 56.85 and securing the finals.
Olympic champion Keely Hodgkinson also won the finals. Kenya’s Sarah Moraa finished second in the third semi-finals but needed treatment, and it remains to be seen if he is ready to compete.
