The newspaper reported on the development of the murder of Advocate Mbobu.
On Saturday, September 13, police released three suspects: Kanu Secretary General George Wainaina, Eric Muhia, and Paul Mbugua.
Wainaina’s lawyer, Maulid Bare, said his client was released after a laboratory examination showed they were not related to the killings.
Speaking after his release, Wainaina explained that he met Mbobu and another colleague in the hotel parking, and not at lunchtime as previously claimed.
He said even CCTV photos taken by the police showed that they only met in the parking lot.
“This man found me in the parking lot. I had my nephew. I didn’t have him at lunch. The one I met with Mbobu was interviewed, he told the police that they saw me at the hotel, and that’s why I was called to interrogate. Even CCTV showed us just in the parking lot,” He said.

The Swahili newspaper reported on President Ruto’s new plans to undermine the influence of former Internal Security Minister Fred Matiang’i.
Ruto targets 960,000 votes for Gusii constituencies, according to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), an area that has become a political arena towards the 2027 elections.
As part of its strategies, the government has allocated billions of shillings for housing projects, new markets and electricity projects in the Gusii area.
After losing influences in Mount Kenya’s castle, Ruto is now turning to western Kenya and the twin Kisii and Nyamira counties, hoping their number of votes will help him in the next race.
In these efforts, Ruto welcomed Gusii’s White House delegation in Nairobi, accompanied by the ODM leader Raila OdingaKisii Governor Simba Arati, Minister of Education Migos Ogamba, and Assistant Attorney General Shadrack Moses.
