The tragic road accident involved a school bus that was transporting children to their institution.
The Witnesses quietly narrated the details of the accident, which killed a student who was waiting for his brother.
“Then it was staggering because the sprouts were weak, it seemed the tires were about to collapse, the driver was trying to stop it but the brakes didn’t work, so he decided to hit the bus on the block to stop it, unfortunately it crashed and went back to the road.
There was a student waiting for the sister. That uncontrollable bus hit the student and threw the baby into the wall, ” Said one person who witnessed.
Who should run the school buses?
The witness, who is also a resident of the area, complained of poor school bus services, which he said often causes the disasters.
He called on the school leadership to ensure safety standards used to transport children.
“The bus was very dusty meaning it had not been cleaned for a long time, there were other children on the bus who were seriously injured, the driver of the bus did not run away, and he was injured and rushed to hospital.
Another thing, school buses should be operated by experienced seniors. Typically, young drivers of these vehicles do not comply with traffic rules and want to show their driving skills, ” he added.
A STUDE SCHOOL ELITE SCHOOL IS KILLED
Redempta, another resident, described what happened when he wanted school bus drivers to be careful when they carried students.
“It was about 6:50 am I went to work I heard something like an explosion and when I got out I saw it was a school bus crashing, I was a mother and I felt the need to rescue the children as they were crying and screaming for help.
We got on the bus and started helping the students. There were some good Samaritans who were helping the children from because the bus had fallen to one side. We did not know that one student from Stelurm Elite school had been hit on the wall, ” He narrated.
Nairobi’s mother saves school children
Redempta noted that some children were bleeding while others seemed confused after the accident.
Injured students were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they received first aid treatment.
“While in the hospital, I saw one student being brought inside. The child was seriously injured. When I looked carefully, the student seemed dead. Later they were told to take the corpse to the mortuary,” he added.
