Speaking to TUKO.co.ke His nephew Faith Kemunto said that a corpse was conducted at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital, and it emerged that the prominent businessman died of smoke.
This is contrary to reports spreading online saying that Mokaya killed Esther by hanging her and then burning her body to hide the evidence.
“Do you know, when there is a dump in the house and some people use gasoline to kill stressful pests? We think they poured gasoline for it and the fire broke out somewhere and spread. However, we are waiting to hear from the Criminal Investigation Department (DCI),” Kemunto said.
