When Collins appeared, they were excited about songs of praise and thanksgiving, hugging tears.

For her mother who has traveled with her every step of the trip, seeing her son standing firm and smiling was a miracle.

“For the first time in many years, I can say my son is grown up. Indeed, God has been faithful,” he said in tears.

How often did Collins Kipngetich underwent surgery?

Collins himself failed to suppress his feelings while addressing the crowd, adding that he was free without suffering again.

“Of course, there is no place like home,” he said, his voice calming down.

After 19 years of surgery that was unsuccessful and relying on the catheter to survive, the young man is finally free from the weakening situation that previously disturbed his life.

His medical journey was unusual. Collins was born with a urethra problem, underwent his first surgery at the age of one year.

For many years, his family completed all their savings, sold land, and even moved to seek medical care.

New life of Collins Kipngetich

Among those present at the airport is Cheptoo Songok, a close friend of the family, who reminded leaders of the need to invest more for families facing high medical expenses.

“Today we celebrate, but many other families are still suffering. The government has to intervene and provide assistance so that Kenyans do not have to sell land just to afford treatment,” he urged.

The return of Collins is not only the end of his painful journey but also the beginning of a new chapter.

When he returns to their home in Kericho, the weak young man has become a sign of stability and community strength.

“This is not my only victory; it belongs to every Kenyan who sent me a shilling, prayer, or message to encourage me. I can never thank them enough,” he said.
