Following her mother’s request for assistance and violence online, Makaa sub -district officials intervened to investigate the matter.

The county education officials visited the school and held a meeting with the management board, the head of the school and the girl’s mother, Virginia Maweu.

The matter was resolved during the meeting, and the girl, who risked the lack of a Kenyan Secondary Education Certificate (KCSE), was allowed to return to education.

“The school has punished the student and the parent, because what is the fault the parent has made to impose this penalty rate for the value of money? We strongly condemn as a commission,” Said one of the education officials of the Makaa sub -county.
