Nairobi – ODM MPs in Nairobi have expressed support for the governor Johnson Sakaja.

During a meeting with the media on Wednesday, September 3, the MPs congratulated members of the Nairobi County Parliament (MCAS) for dismissing plans to sue Sakaja.
What ODM legislators stood in the hand?
According to the MPs, the action of ward representatives will protect the stability of the capital.
Led by their Nairobi County Chairman, George Aladwa, MPs Beatrice Elachi (North Dagoretti) and Felix Odiwuor, the famous Jalas (Lang’ata), the MPs said the MCAS’s decision to dismiss the removal request was a bold move that put the interests of Nairobi residents in front of politics.
Reading a joint statement on behalf of Nairobi MPs, Elachi emphasized that the capital would hamper national development and disrupt the developing service programs.
“We cannot allow our city to be redeemed by personal politics and interests. If Nairobi is disrupted, Kenya is disrupted,” Elachi said.
In a statement, the MPs confirmed to support Governor Sakaja, stating that his administration had taken steps to restore stability and respect in the city despite being ignored for decades.
They mentioned programs such as the Dishi and County School feeding program that provide hot food to 316,000 students daily, expansion of the potential to control solid waste through new waste compacts and green army, and ongoing investment in health, water, and infrastructure.
The MPs also criticized the growing process of removal of power as a political weapon, warning that such actions undermine the administration rather than carrying out accountability.
