“It’s good to advise young people, because I’m 63 years old. I’m old, and I know,” Birir said.
The Speaker continued to be strong and insisted Birir to use the languages of Parliament only English or Swahili.

Advocate interviewed the MCA responsible for the move to dispel Mutai about alcoholism
Birir’s case was not a unique case of humor during the hearing of the removal of Mutai.
On Thursday, August 28, a lightweight situation came to light in the Senate after Sigowet-Soin Kiprotich Rogony was interviewed about allegations of alcoholism and abnormal behavior.
Rogony, who was the presenter of the removal motion, had accused Mutai of serious violations, abuse of office and misconduct.
