Did the Ukambian leaders attacked Gachagua for how he spoke when interviewed?

They dismissed Gachagua’s allegations he made in an interview with Citizen TV on Tuesday, August 26, referring to them as unfounded and that it aims to undermine the presidential leadership Ruto.

Senator -elect Tabitha Mutinda and Kangundo MP Fabian Kyule supported Kawaya’s statements, urging Kenyans to ignore Gachagua’s remarks, referring to him as a politician who opposes everything and lost the reality of leadership.

“Leaders should focus on the solution, not to spread lies. Kenyans deserve truth and solidarity, not to divide people,” Said Senator Mutinda.

Ukambian MPs said they were continuing to fully support President Ruto, emphasizing that his government was determined to fulfill the promise to the people despite political disruption.

Njirani, who is also a pilot, noted that Gachagua separated from ethnic politics that is often associated with him, and instead focused on national issues.

He mentioned one incident in the interview where Gachagua was asked to explain his statement that the Kikuyu were the ones who run the country’s economy.

Njirani said Gachagua’s response was a gentle and verbal test, as he explained that he meant Kikuyu had spread to many parts of the country, but not the only ones running the national economy.

In addition, he congratulated him on how he handled sensitive questions about the allegations that Ruto met with Al-Shabaab partners in Mandera.

Njirani said Gachagua showed resilience and accountability in his response, explaining that the matter was being investigated in the United States.

He said Gachagua seemed as though he had information about the matter, but he could not put it publicly on live television.
