Migori: Police officers in the South Sakwa area within Awendo County have launched a search to find a 63 -year -old who allegedly killed his son.

The incident was reported on Tuesday night, August 26, after a 28 -year -old was reported to go to his father’s house claiming food.
It is alleged that the father, upset by the way his son was presenting his claim, found himself in conflict with him, which turned out to be a disaster.

According to Awendo County Police Commander, Julius Kemboi, the man who is now in hiding, allegedly slapped his son with a hoe in his head and caused serious injuries. He died about an hour after the attack.
“We received information from the public, and when we arrived at the scene, we found the deceased lying in a pool of blood. He had already lost his life due to head injuries,” Kemboi told TUKO.co.ke.
“The suspect is currently in hiding, but the investigation and search are ongoing,” he added.
The police commander called on the public to cooperate with security forces by providing any information that would assist in the arrest of the suspect to be brought to court.
According to residents, the 28 -year -old had no good relationship with his family, who often wanted him to marry to start his family.
It is alleged that it was what stirred his father’s anger.

However, the Awendo County Police Commander urged citizens to look for alternative ways to resolve family disputes without using violence or murder.

“We have seen an increase in homosexual violence among the families that cause murder, and we urge citizens to resolve their differences in a peaceful way. When they feel needed, they will involve authority to avoid such cases,” Kemboi said.
The deceased’s body was moved to Rosewood’s mortuary in Awendo, waiting for a corpse surgery, with police continuing the search against the suspect.
