The Nairobi woman, weak and struggling with life -threatening lung problems, wandered around as she was tied to oxygen on her side. Blind and wrapped in a wheelchair, every step of his life seemed difficult.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Gladys reiterated that his misery was widespread in 2016 after a young boy he saw in his state of crying.

“When I was sick, I was told I had to go to India to get more treatment as my condition was worse. And so my friends and family started a raising money. In one of the walks from Nairobi to ThikaI was in the car when a street boy knocked on the window. When I lowered the window, he was filled with sadness, and he cried when he saw me, and that many people took me online, and many people hit me. ” He narrated.

Gladys said that after his misery spread, the sponsor Ndungu Nyoro and other prominent people he tried to find for help, they appeared and showed interest in helping him.

He claimed Nyoro first asked the doctors to do new tests for him so that they could determine if he was sick with the type of medical assistance he needed.

“He confirmed that I had problems with the lungs that affected my breathing and that I was blind and I had to be in a wheelchair. He narrated.

How much money did Gladys Waimu receive from Kenyans?

The funding was successful as the Nairobi woman received KSh 9 million and plans to take her to India immediately.

Gladys remembered how bad her condition was during a trip to India, and she had to be taken by an ambulance after her arrival.

He made one more journey to return to India for special treatment, which he said helped restore his visual ability.

Why do Kenyans accuse Gladys Waimu of cheating them?

Recently, pictures of Gladys are healthy and beautiful have been blowing on social networks, with many failing to believe that she was the same woman who used a wheelchair and breathed it with the help of oxygen.

Waimu said despite the allegations against him, he is grateful to everyone who contributed and helped him get treatment that made him return to his two feet.
