SIAA: The victim of murder women and school girls died a few minutes after being arrested

The suspect, identified as the famous Charles Onyango “for”, was killed by an angry crowd on Thursday, August 7, in the morning, shortly after police brought him back to help in the investigation.

Onyango was in hiding for almost two months following a brutal massacre targeting school women and girls in the Gem area, Yala sub -county.

His arrest on Wednesday night, August 6, in the Kibos area, County Kisumubringing a new direction in the case that had left residents in fear and anger.

Police said Onyango was pretending to be a veterinarian in Kibos so that he could not be identified.

However, his attempt to hide failed after residents carefully identified and notified security officers.

Following the statement, a joint operation between Yala and Kisumu officials was established and Onyango was quickly arrested and taken to the Yala police station for an interview.

How did the murder suspect Siaya die?

According to the local police commander of the Gem Yala parliament, Charles Wafula, the suspect had begun to cooperate with the officers during the interview and even gave what the police believed to be “important information” about some murder cases.

However, before any major success was achieved, the situation suddenly changed to death.

An angry crowd pulled Onyango to the Boda Boda Boda Center where they struck him to death and burned his body with fire.

“We arrested Kibos in hiding. When we brought him to the center, he told us some things, important information. But when the public heard the news, a large group appeared and closed the road. They confronted us, and at that time we had no way to get out. He explained to the Fula.

Eyewitnesses said that the crowd, which had increased rapidly after hearing the news of his arrest, exacerbated the police caravan.

Wafula noted that some people went so far as to threaten to burn the police car, which forced the officers to go back to protect themselves.

“Then they wanted to burn the car … to me, when things reach that level, there is nothing you can do. We were on our way to the scene according to the information he gave us,” Added Fula.

How many Siaya killings associated with Onyango?

His death concludes a period of emergency in the Gem Yala area, where at least several women and girls were lost or found killed in conflicting situations in recent months.

The community had begun to despair due to the slow pace of investigation and what they saw as a frequent failure by security forces to protect them.

It is unclear how many murder Onyango is associated with it or if there will be more evidence now after his death.
