Nairobi: A customer tells how he was attacked by Quickmart Buruburu manager for allegedly stealing

  • A young woman identified by the name of Shishi and her brother Alpha suffered the worst case of Quickmart Buruburu, where they went to buy ATM milk

Nairobi, Kenya: The young girl and her brother, who were beaten and kneel down in Quickmart Buruburu, participated that they were charged with stealing 57 liters of milk.

It all started when the sister and her brother arrived at the dairy machine at a large store of a mall and found no one to serve them, so they thought it was to serve themselves.

“We paid for it so we took a bottle of milk and poured milk into it, as we came out and met the employee and took a receipt and then canceled, when we got to the door the security guard called us back.

“We were taken to the luggage and kneel down, they hit me and even the marks I had, we were asked about the milk and showed them a receipt,” He said.

When Shisi’s brother tried to defend him, he was allegedly pushed away, then the manager phoned their father, but when he arrived and tried to discuss them, and they refused, and left for Buruburu police station.

The youths were also evacuated to the police station, and the police were not surprised, and Shishi claimed that every Friday, they were sending people there.

“There is someone inside right now because he allegedly stole smoke and another stole meat,” He said.

What happened to a Quickmart customer?

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Diana Shitonyanga said that something strange happened two times when she bought things in the Buruburu shop.

“I had paid for all my goods when I tried to pass through the door, and the bell rang to show that I did not pay, thankfully when the soldiers arrived I was able to show a receipt and they checked and it was okay.

“They said it happens sometimes but not that this has happened. I tremble to think what would happen and the mindless manager was around,” He said.

“We want to assure our valuable and public customers that we are fully aware of this issue and we take it seriously,” Quickmart said.
