Speaking to Flashscore, former Gor Mahia coach Bob Oyugi observed that Harambee Stars were not composed at the start of the game, noting that they will be in big trouble if that is not changed.
Bob Oyugi lauded Harambee Stars for putting in the work when needed, but insisted that their defence was not as strong as it should have been.
Oyugi noted that despite winning the first game, Harambee Stars should remain focused on refining their tactics.

Harambee Stars coach Benni McCarthy has sent a message of caution to his players, explaining the need to stay grounded after their victory over DR Congo.
“It was well done for our boys to win their first game, but they still need to work on both defensive and offensive play,” Bob Oyugi said.
“Kenya needs a sharp forward line, with frequent attacks, plus a covering and supporting midfield. It will be easier for us to first watch all the games, and then diagnosis would work well.
“The entire team had determination to win the first match, they only need to improve more, knowing well that the opponents analysed their game.”

Bob Oyugi acknowledged that Harambee Stars coach Benni McCarthy is building a new team and emphasised that both fullbacks needed to stay alert, while the midfielders should avoid exposing the defence to the opponents.
After their match against Angola, Harambee Stars will lock horns with two-time champions Morocco on August 10 and then round up their group stage campaign against Zambia on August 17. All Harambee Stars group stage matches will be played at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
