Why is Kenya fined by CAF?
However, it has emerged that the CAF has imposed a huge fine for the Kenya Football Federation (FKF) following numerous security violations during the opening match between Kenya and DR Congo at the Stadium Kasarani on Sunday.
“The CAF Disciplinary Board sued the Kenya Football Federation (FKF) for violating section 82 and 83 of the CAF discipline and section 15, 31, and 32 of the CAF Security and Security Regulations during the match between Kenya and DR Congo,” It read the information from CAF.
According to a detailed report by the CAF Security Officer, there was a violation of several rules from the 11th gate, where a dispute occurred.

How much will FKF pay?
CAF has beaten a board led by Hussein Mohamed for a USD 15000 fine (approximately KSh 1.9 million) for trampling, unauthorized access to CAF visitors and staff.
More than $ 5000 (KSh 647,500) has been issued to the case at Nyayo Stadium, with a fine of 2500 USD (KSh 323,750) suspended by FKF from committing another offense during Chan 2024.
In total, the Federation has 60 days to pay KSh 2.5 million.
CAF FINDS TANZANIA
Kenyan neighbors have also not survived after such cases were reported on the first day of the match between Tanzania and Burkina Faso.
CAF says some fans did poorly contrary to the CAF Security and Security responsibilities as set out in section 82 and 83 of the CAF Disciplinary Regulations and Articles 24 and 28 of the CAF Security and Security Regulations.
The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has been fined USD 10,000 (KSh 1.2 million).
