Rosalind Wanyeki, well -known by the name of Rev. Hadassah, is scheduled to be deported on Thursday, August 7, along with the daughter of Joylene Mundia (10) and her son Pearl Mundia (6).
Why did Pastor Rosalind Hadassah travel to Canada?
Wanyeki, founder and priest of the Prayer Reign International Church in North York, Toronto, says he fears his family’s safety if they are forced to return to Kenya.
He claims they escaped in the country in 2020 to avoid torture from the head of the church in Nairobi.
“I have a church, I have my own business. I would not have come to this way all the way to be told to come back. In fact, kill me here. If you want to go back to Kenya, we end here,” He said.
The pastor also expressed frustration at the lack of support by his local MP, despite numerous attempts to seek help.
“I’m getting resistance. I get answers that can’t help me right now — and I need help,” He said.
According to CTV News, his refugee claim and a permanent residence request under humanitarian and compassion have all been rejected by the Canadian immigration authority.
Why do Kenyans, Canadans oppose the dismissal of the Lords?
In response to his misery, members of the Toronto and East African religious communities held an emergency prayer service and a press conference at the Royal Chapel in North York.
They called on the government to intervene quickly and refer to the Wanyech as a precious community member who has provided spiritual and emotional assistance, to help foreigners, and to contribute to various local organizations.
Change.org’s request has also been launched in an effort to terminate the transfer, and to gain the support of Kenyans and Canadians.
Applicants say that the two children have lived in Canada most of their lives, united in the Canadian community, and face high risk if they are returned to a country they no longer know.
“We urge the Canadian government to focus on the future and well -being of these two children. The request read.

The family was scheduled to be expelled in early July, but the process was delayed as the children were still in school.
As the clock approaches the Wanks to return home to power, he has asked for support by signing a request to help end the transfer and also send a message to immigration officials.
“The request will send a notice to the MP, the Minister of Public Security and the Prime Minister,” He said.
