The presidential candidate and who turned out to be a lawyer opened up about his personal money, saying his value was between KSh 100 million and KSh 200 million.
“I own a little land, which I have been buying a piece after a piece. I also run a transport company with several trucks. I have not done a formal assessment, but if I included my land and other property, I would estimate my value between KSh 100 million and KSh 200 million. And I can provide calculations for each,” He said.

His statement came at a time when public attention focused on the money of political people before the 2027 general elections.
However, he emphasized that his political achievements have never relied on money.
How much money did Omtatah spend on the 2022 campaigns?
Recalling his 2022 Senate campaign, he said he won by sharing his views and visions with the people.
“I didn’t have the money when I contested. I just had a microphone and told the people what I wanted to do. They listened and gave me their votes,” He narrated.
He added that his campaign was celebrated by trust and direct relationship with voters.
“All over Busia, it’s hard to find anyone who has received money from me. But I still got the highest count of the vote as an individual. People will support you if they understand problems and believe in your ability to solve them,” He explained.

Omtatah, known for his long -standing case of public interest, took into account the growing direction of money -led politics, emphasizing that clear policies and genuine solutions can still attract hearts and intelligence without much use.
