Kenyan Newspaper, August 6: Uhuru Kenyatta supporting Raila Odinga presidential vote 2027

The Kenyan newspaper on Wednesday, August 6, reported on political positions before the 2027 general elections; Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has reportedly announced the support of ODM leader Raila Odinga.

1. Nation today

The newspaper reported on the possibility of a coalition of a coalition to be repeated with former President Uhuru Kenyatta announcing the support of ODM leader Raila Odinga.

The Jubilee Freedom Party says it still recognizes Raila as the leader of the Union Declaration.

Jubilee Deputy Chairman David Murathe revealed that Uhuru told them at a meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) on Tuesday, August 5, that he is ready to support Raila 2027 as long as he breaks up relations with the current administration.

“We still recognize Raila as the leader of the Declaration Union. And as a Union, we decide our direction; however, I tell you we are with Tinga (Raila) until the situation changes. Raila is our leader and Uhuru is our chairman. The nation today quoted Murathe.

Murathe praised Raila’s political skills, saying he was playing discretion in keeping his political cards a secret.

“Even if you look at how he talks and how he looks, you will see that he will not support this government. There is no way I will talk about how he is without Raila’s blessing,” Murathe said.

Added;

“I have been told that ODM leaders are also with Sifuna.

Regarding allegations that former Interior Minister Fred Matiang’i is aiming to use the party to run for president, Murathe said there was no such thing that had been discussed and reached by the party.

Jubilee general secretary Jeremiah Kioni has been quoted many times as announcing Matiang’i as presidential candidate Jubilee Party.
