Former Minister of Home Affairs Fred Matiang’i has dismissed strong statements against the current political leadership in Kenya.

Speaking during a public talks on his ongoing visit to the United States, Matiang’i criticized what he described as a growing culture of political sports that does nothing to solve the country’s real problems.
He criticized the deputy president Kithure Kindikiwho has been leading various government programs in recent months.
“We either stand up, be careful and face challenges in our country, or soon we will not have a country. Matiang’i said.
He opposed the popular trends of leaders around the country with large caravans and helicopters, giving a small amount of money under the flag of empowerment.
“People are traveling around the country every Friday, through enabling, nine helicopters in this way and the other nine in that way, acting things. Then they end up in the village, give the people KSh 64. That’s not a single dollar,” He said.
“Even if you would give your mother one dollar, what would she do for it? Let’s be careful. Our country is better than these cheers,” he added.
How will Matiang’i liberate Kenya being elected president?
Matiang’i, who announced his intention to run for the 2027 presidency, said one of his priorities was to restore integrity in public management.
He promised to reform the public service by supporting the nomination based on qualifications rather than political relations or ethnic positions.
He also promised to reduce the tax burden on public servants, saying the existing system had made them weak and failed to fulfill their responsibilities.

Matiang’i secretly Amlima Sakaja
In what appeared to be another indirect hybrid, this time targeting the Nairobi governor Johnson SakajaMatiang’i questioned the integrity of leaders who had been forced to defend their academic documents in court.
“I am not like some people in Kenya who claim they went to school when they did not study. When I was the Minister of Education, I was telling people that the easiest way to destroy the country is to start with this filth of people who should go to court to seek court orders to prove that they went to school,” He said.
“If you went to school, how did you go to school where you don’t have a classmate, you don’t have a teacher, and do you expect the judge to decide that you really went to school?” Matiang’i added.
Matiang’i emphasized that Kenyan problems are exacerbated by what he described as “foolish behavior” and unusual practices that have led to normal leadership.
