A 70 -year -old woman is stuck in Kakamega town after being defrauded in Ksh 17,000 which she had left to release the bank.

The woman who identified herself by the name of Deborah Musanga from the East Butsoto East, said she had traveled to the city to provide the money to facilitate harvesting of her sugarcane field.

Musanga noted that shortly after leaving the bank with money, he met three people, two as women. The three said they were government officials working with the Ministry of Health and that they could help him register for free medical care.
The three claimed they were part of the mobilization intended to help the elderly in the community in the county.
“They had a car that they told me to get in so that I could be registered for free medical care,” Musanga told TUKO.co.ke.
However, while inside the car, it left for a few meters from the bank before taking a bag containing money and his cellphone.
According to the lady, one of the women in the car was at the bank when she was donating the money.
They later ordered him to get out of the car before leaving the wallet, which also had his other documents.
“The men took my wallet and told me to get out of their car. One of the women was in the bank where I made money,” He said.
