One -time commissioner of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Roselyn Akombe has remembered a former colleague, the late Chris Msando, in a heavy message to celebrate eight years.

Akombe used X to congratulate Msando and talk about the brutality that ended the life of his colleague on July 31, 2017.
He was sad that the deceased was forced to reach his sad end at the peak of his commitment to protect the right of electoral rights in Kenya.
The most painful of Akombe was that his former colleague would never rise again; His way of life is hoping that justice, though delayed, will be released even in its absence eternal.

At the time of his death, Msando was in charge of the data center and infrastructure IEBCcharged with managing and protecting the electoral technology by the 2017 vote.
He was killed after a series of interviews with the media in which he explained in detail how the digital election infrastructure was able to control fraud to avoid misleading such as theft.
Msando would oversee the systems, the digital voter register, and the presentation of the presidential results.
Eight years onwards, his killers have not yet been revealed.
At the age of 45, Msando was killed in the Kiambu County bush after three days’ disappearance.
His body was searched up to the Nairobi City mortuary, where it was stored as unknown.
