Makueni: One person has died, 10 injured after a Dreamliner bus collided with Tuktuk in the Makindu area.
According to a TV 47 report, the accident happened at midnight on Sunday, July 26, injuring more than ten passengers.
Several passengers continue to receive treatment after a road accident involving a bus traveling to Mombasa.
The victims were rushed to Amref-Kibwezi hospital and Makindu Hospital where they are undergoing treatment.
The accident happened near the Kinyambu area, on the Nairobi-Mombasa highway, Makueni County.
According to a police report, the accident happened around noon and allegedly caused by Tuktuk’s interruption.
Preliminary investigations show that a Dreamliner bus traveling from Nairobi to Mombasa hit Tuktuk.
Rescue operations are underway at the scene, and traffic congestion continues to be reported.
A sad video has been seen showing how rescuers were releasing passengers stuck in the bus.
Authorities have urged drivers to be cautious when an investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.

In other sad reports, a fatal road accident occurred on the Webuye-Bungoma Road on Sunday, July 20.
One person died instantly near the Bukembe market after an accident involving several vehicles.
According to a police report, the early morning accident occurred after a face -to -face collision between a small car and a bread distribution truck in the Roja Village Resort.
Eyewitnesses said the driver of the small car died instantly, with his female passenger being rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Shortly after the first accident, a Greenline bus traveling from Nairobi at a speed hit a truck that had already stopped in the area.
After the collision, the PSV bus with 65 passengers lost focus and overturned several times, adding more damage.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the driver of the small car may have been driving drunk, since a bottle of alcoholic beverage (a smirnoff Ice) was found inside the car’s remains.
Photos from the scene show the small car is badly damaged, the pieces of mirrors are scattered inside and the front window is completely broken.
