Raila responds to Edwin Singa Singa for his strong position within ODM: “He has the right to speak”

Kakamega: ODM Clerk Raila Odinga has appeared to defend the Secretary -General Edwin Sifunawho has recently been attacked for his strong position against the broad government.

Sifuna, who is also a Nairobi Senator, sparked a conversation after making it clear that the ODM party had lost its identity due to a professional agreement entered into with the party UDA Early this year.

Why Sifuna offended some ODM members

The feelings created emotions from party members, many of whom concluded that he was opposed to his boss, who is on a record of promising to support the government until 2027.

Sifuna explained that the party had brought a lot of confusion to its members across the country, as it seemed to join the government in developing hate policies against people and violence against unarmed civilians.

This will offend many members in ODM.

How Raila defended Edwin Sifuna

However, speaking for the first time after the dispute, Raila admitted that Sifuna reserved the right to talk about how he wanted, citing the principles of democracy promoted in the ODM party that allow differences of opinion.

The party’s position would be established as soon as the leadership officially met to discuss such matters.

However, he acknowledged Sifuna as the authority of the party authorities.

“We as a party have party entities that have been given the authority to speak. Sifuna speaking I can’t answer him through the media. I will wait for him at the National Executive Committee sessions and the Executive Committee. Let’s meet there, and everyone will say his comments, then we will decide the position, and then I don’t have to present the public. Raila said.

“ODM is a democratic party, and so you must endure different views. But when we speak and have an agreement, then that is the party’s position,” He said.

Raila spoke in Kakamega on Friday, July 25, attending a meeting of delegates organized by Governor Fernandes Barasa.
