CHAN 2024 will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania from August 2-30, with Harambee Stars playing their matches at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.

Mohammed Bajaber is in a race against time to be fit ahead of CHAN 2024, and he remains confident about Harambee Stars making a mark at the tournament.

He urged Harambee Stars players to focus on the positive side and believe in themselves ahead of the tournament, noting that if they truly want to be the best, then they need to beat the best, which includes conquering Morocco.

“You can’t go there with a negative mindset that our group is tough. I’ve seen a lot of that online, people are saying we are in the Group of Death and all that stuff. It’s indeed tough, and we have to respect our opponents, but we don’t need to be afraid, thinking that Morocco will beat us,” Mohammed Bajaber said on the Tiki Taka Show.
“They are indeed tough opponents, but we have to believe in ourselves and know that we are also tough. If we have to be the best, we have to beat the best. At the moment, I’m focused on CHAN and the Champions League.”
In CHAN 2024, Harambee Stars will be up against DR Congo in their opening match on Sunday, August 3, before going up against Angola on Thursday, August 7.
