The newspaper reported that the Kenyan Law Society (LSK) had demanded the court order the arrival of Tehama specialist Ndiang’ui Kinyaga, his cousin Lilian Wanjiku Gitonga, and his mother Margaret Rukwaro, in connection with a complex oath submitted after his 13 -day disappearance.
In a session filled with excitement before Judge Chacha Mwita of the Supreme Court, President of Lsk Faith Odhiambo claimed that the contents of the July 3 oath issued by Gitonga contradict preliminary reports made to the party.
Odhiambo asked the court to allow the three people because of the significant differences of information that questioned the validity of the oath as well as LSK’s initial request for the disappearance of Nding’ui.
Ndingang’ui disappeared in June in a state of confusion and later emerged in court several weeks later.
In the controversial oath, Gitonga claimed he received a call from Ndizang’ui during his disappearance saying he was safe and was not captured, unlike LSK’s initial position.

The situation became increasingly complex after the family’s attorney, Kibe Mungai, said he was asked to prepare an oath for Ndizang’ui’s instructions but the family submitted a changed version without his consent. He said he refused to file it through his law company because of the underlying change.
Judge Mwita expressed concern about the situation and the complexity of legal representation. He said that the oath was not written by Nding’ui himself, so there are questions about who actually represents the second complainant.
Given the situation, Judge Mwita postponed the case until July 24 and ordered both parties to clarify their positions and representation before the trial proceeded.
4. People Daily
The newspaper reported that since his appointment as Minister of Minerals and Marine Affairs, Hassan Joho has re -emerged as a key political player on the Coast, appearing to support Ruto in his re -election 2027.
Analysts see this move as Ruto’s political strategy using Joho’s influence to unite the coastal region that has historically has a major political division.
Joho highlighted his new position after leading Coastal leaders at a White House summit in May, and later to participate in regional events where he supported Ruto and encouraged unity.
At the funeral of his late son Karisa Maitha, Joho and other leaders used Maitha’s memory to encourage political solidarity. Later, he welcomed Deputy President Kindiki on a visit that was also considered a political meeting.
Joho has promised to lead the Coast in support of Ruto in 2027, suggesting that the region should have a presidential candidate in the near future. However, some critics such as Ananias Mwaboza say Joho’s influence is diminishing without the support of Raila Odinga of ODM, and citing the decline in its popularity and not achieving the selection of coastal residents in government positions.
The coast has a total of 1.96 million votes, thus becoming a very competitive area. Although Mombasa is the center of coastal politics, Kilifi, Kwale, and Taita Taveta counties are also expected to be the strict political stations.
